ORAL HISTORY

The Commission has compiled a list of over 1,500 Delawareans who have had their lives chronicled and saved on audio tape.  For a complete list of the histories and how to listen to the tapes or read the transcripts please call the Commission at 302-577-5044.

The Commission also offers a how-to seminar for historical societies, small museums, community groups, etc, who would like to begin an oral history program.  We bring the program to you -- complete with free handouts, bibliographical sources, and a video presentation.   The program is free of charge and will cover two hours.  In recent months the Commission has held the seminar for the town of Bethany Beach, the town of Arden, and the Milton Historical Society.  Please call for more information.
