Delaware Author's Day
The Delaware Heritage Commission will be sponsoring its annual Delaware Authors Day at the Delaware Agricultural Museum in Dover, Delaware. The event will take place on Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 9:00 – 3:00. This event provides an opportunity for Delaware authors to meet the public, and sell their books. The authors who have participated in the past have had an array of books on a wide variety of subjects, including wartime reminiscences, genealogy, religion, personal experiences, and medical profession. There will be something available to spark the interest in every member of the family.
This year we are delighted to have three guest speakers whose specialty is the civil war. Syl Woolford speaks at 11:00. David W. Rickman speaks at 12:00. Thomas J. Reed speaks at 1:00.
In addition, the Delaware Heritage Press books will be on sale. These include books on Delaware Governors, African-American education in DE, Delaware history, the Mason-Dixon Line, Delaware’s role in World Wars I and II, Civil War, Colonial Delaware and much more. Please come out and support the Delaware Authors. Have them explain and autograph one of their books for you. This event is free to the public.
